Our Doctors

Dr. Steven M. Shepperd has been practicing in the Atlanta, Georgia, area since 1995. He graduated with a major in chemistry and a minor in math from Florida International University, where he was also a member of the university jazz ensemble. In 1980, he graduated from the Emory University School of Dentistry and has continued his education by taking at least 50 hours of classes every two years. For three years, Dr. Shepperd worked with the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic and also studied with the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy. Dr. Shepperd’s parents were both clinicians (his father was an MA in ENT and plastic surgery; his mother was an RN in intensive care), and he works hard to uphold his family legacy, providing the best, most caring treatment he can to every one of his patients. Dr. Shepperd treasures his family, made up of his wife, Sharon, and his children, Leah and Ben, and when he is not at the office, he enjoys water sports, golf, woodworking and gardening.

Dr. Malik was born in the United Kingdom but raised in Greenville, SC. He attended The University of South Carolina, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Shortly after, he pursued his Master's Degree in Medical Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Lastly, he was able to continue at MUSC to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with magna cum laude distinction. Dr. Malik has always been fascinated with the human body and enjoys integrating his hand/eye coordination skills, thus he combined the two and found his love for dentistry.  Dr. Malik is very much excited to bring this passion to his patients in Woodstock!

Dr. Malik loves to spend his time outside the office by: playing/watching sports (especially basketball and American football), lifting weights, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and family.

Dr. Posey graduated with honors from Gilmer High School in Ellijay, Georgia. He then attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During his time at Berry, he was the class treasurer and also earned the US Presidential Volunteer Service Award. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in 2014.

Dr. Posey is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition to general dentistry he is certified to: place implants, do Invisalign, Botox and Fillers.

Dr. Posey's biggest motivations are his passion for learning, his drive to succeed and his passion for making a significant difference in the lives of others. Dr. Posey feels that one's life can only be made worthy through service to others, which is why Dr. Posey always gives 100% toward making sure every patient is satisfied with the dental care they receive!

In his spare time, Dr. Posey enjoys reading, traveling and going to the gym.
