How Much Does Invisalign Cost in Woodstock? What Shapes Your Price
If you've been thinking about straightening your teeth, the first question is usually the money one. It's a fair question, and you deserve a straight answer instead of a sales pitch. Dr. Ray Morgan has noticed more adults, including men in their 50s and 60s, coming in to ask about Invisalign and whitening. He thinks video calls may be part of it, since so many of us spend the day looking at ourselves on a screen. Here's what goes into the cost of Invisalign at Towne Lake Family Dentistry, how insurance and financing fit in, and how to find out your own number.
How much does Invisalign cost in Woodstock, GA?
The cost of Invisalign depends on how much your teeth need to move, how long treatment takes and what you'll need to keep your results once you're done. We talk through everything upfront, including the finances, so you have a clear plan and no surprises.
Two people can both say they want straighter teeth and need very different treatment. One may have a little crowding in front. Another may have a bite that never sat quite right. That difference is what drives the price, and it's why the honest answer starts with a look at your teeth.
What makes one Invisalign case cost more than another?
The biggest factor is the work your teeth need. Clear aligners are custom trays made to fit your mouth, and each set moves your teeth a small amount at a time. The number of aligners and the length of treatment depend on your own orthodontic issues and the movements needed to correct them.
A few things shape your plan:
- How far your teeth need to move. Mild spacing or crowding usually takes fewer aligners than a bite correction.
- How long treatment lasts. Orthodontic treatment for most people runs from one to three years.
- How well you wear your aligners. Aligners need to be worn at least 22 hours a day and taken out only to eat, drink, brush and floss. Skipping wear time can slow your progress.
- Keeping your results. After treatment, a retainer holds your teeth in their new positions. Plan on wearing one long term, as your dentist directs.
- Anything else you want done. Some patients pair Invisalign with whitening or small touch-ups to the edges of their teeth.
When there's more than one way to reach your goal, Dr. Morgan lays out the choices as "good, better, best", with the pros and cons of each. Then you decide. We don't judge whichever one you pick.
Does dental insurance help pay for Invisalign?
It might, depending on your policy. We're a mostly out-of-network practice by choice, so we can focus on quality of care instead of what insurance dictates. You can absolutely still be seen here if you have dental insurance, and most PPO plans will cover a portion of treatment even when you're out of network.
It helps to know what your plan actually is. Most dental insurance is a benefit package, not true insurance, and annual benefit limits often run about $1,500 to $2,500. Our team will help you understand what your plan may contribute, but the final word on coverage always comes from your insurance company.
Are there ways to make Invisalign easier to afford?
Yes. If you'd like to spread the cost of a larger treatment plan over time, we partner with three financing companies: CareCredit, Cherry and Sunbit. Applications take a few minutes, and approval is usually instant.
If you don't have dental insurance, our In-Office Savings Program is another option. It's a savings program, not insurance. Its Plus add-on includes a discount on orthodontic services, including Invisalign, and it has to be added when you first enroll in a base program.
Once a year we also hold an Invisalign Day, with complimentary scans and consultations and discounts that are only available that day. Ask our front desk when the next one is.
Why do Woodstock patients choose Towne Lake Family Dentistry for Invisalign?
Dr. Morgan leads our Invisalign work personally, and he's been caring for patients in Woodstock for 38 years. He was on track to become an architect before dentistry won him over, and that design eye shows up in how he plans a smile.
One recent case shows what that looks like. A longtime friend of Dr. Morgan's had healthy teeth that were simply crowded out of line. As Dr. Morgan put it, "they were good teeth. They just were in the wrong place". After almost two years of Invisalign, plus whitening and evening out the edges, he finished with a smile he was excited about. He speaks in front of a lot of people, so it mattered to him. Many of the patients on our before and after page finished treatment without their coworkers ever noticing a thing.
You can learn more about how treatment works on our Invisalign page.
How do I find out what my Invisalign treatment will cost?
Your number starts with a consultation. We'll talk about what's bothering you about your smile and what you want it to look like. If treatment makes sense, we'll go over the plan and the finances upfront, along with your options for insurance, financing or our savings program.
